Google is Being Sued For Invasion of Privacy

In the news today I read a story about a couple that is suing Google for invasion of privacy. They recently noticed that their home showed up on a search of Google Map’s new Street View function. Click here to view the rest of the news story. I am curious to know other people’s opinion on the subject.

I can see why this couple may be upset, however Google does offer the option to remove your property from the search results. The complaint this couple has made is that you shouldn’t have to remove it because Google had no right to put it their in the first place. I am sure many people have their opinion on the topic and I would love to hear what those opinions are.

I welcome everyone to comment on this right here on our blog. We hope to hear from you soon.

  1. They will lose. They have nothing to stand on. Anything that can be seen from public property, the street, is fair game for photography.
